Due to the good climate of the city throughout the year and the character of its inhabitants, Seville is a city where most of the activities are enjoyed outdoors. 1. Bike tour along the Guadalquivir River

For few years, the city had several kilometers of cycle lane and currently this is one of the best ways to get to know the city. We recommend a tour on the East river side, from the Aquarium to the Egg of Columbus, crossing the hole city and watching the life that the Guadalquivir River give to the city.

2. Second Hand Market Thursday morning in Feria Street

Every Thursday morning in Feria Street a second-hand market is held with all kinds of objects where Sevillians can look for treasures every week and bargain for the best price. It is very typical to have breakfast at a nearby bar, take a walk through the market and end up having a beer at the Vizcaíno, one of the oldest bars in Seville.

3. A walk through the Santa Cruz neighborhood

A walk through the old Jewish neighborhood of Santa Cruz is one of the best ways to take pictures and be surprised by its beauty, its narrow streets and its small squares.

4. Market of the Museum Square

Every Sunday morning, in the square of the Museum of Fine Arts, several artists display their paintings and sell them. On some occasions we can watch some of them at work.

5. Market in the Plaza del Cabildo

A few meters away from the Cathedral is this beautiful and hidden square where for many years, collectors and buyers have been looking for old coins, stamps and other objects to complete their collections. Every Sunday morning.

6. Market of the Paseo de la O

On the banks of the Guadalquivir River, under the Castle of San Jorge de Triana, several artisans meet on Saturday and Sunday morning to exhibit their creations. We can finish a walk along Paseo de la O and take a `tapa´ at mid-morning in one of the bars inside the Triana Market.

7. Feria street Market

In Feria Street we can find a market always available where we can buy fresh products for cooking. Especially on weekends at midday, many Sevillians meet there to take `tapas’ inside and around the market. Some stalls makes special drink + tapa offers.

8. Triana neighborhood Market

The Triana market is also a great place to buy fresh products. In addition, we can find some stalls which have been made into bars, where you can take a tapa or watch a flamenco show in the smallest theater in the world.

9. Picnic in the Alamillo Park

The Alamillo Park is the largest park in the city. Hundreds of Sevillians usually enjoy their weekends with their friends or their families by taking a picnic with games and all kinds of entertainment or just by relaxing a little bit.

10. Skate Park

If you love skatesboarding, skating, BMX or any other variety, you should know that Seville has one of the largest skate parks in the country. It is located next to the bus station of Plaza de Armas.

11. Panoramic view of the city

A bird’s-eye view of Seville is a good gift to take away as a souvenir. We recommend to you going up to the Giralda or the Metrosol-Parasol before returning home to enjoy a wonderful view of the city.

12. Shopping

The big brands are concentrated in the pedestrian streets Tetuán and Sierpes (and its surroundings). Asunción street in the neighbourhood of Los Remedios is also another pedestrian street full of shops. The Regina street, near the Metrosol- Parasol, is another area with perhaps, more unusual shops.

13. Going out at night

The areas of the Alameda de Hércules and the Arenal neighborhood, concentrate most of the  bars for a coffee or for a drink. In both areas there are also pubs, nightclubs and concert halls, some of which remain open until dawn.

14. Theater

Sevilla has a long tradition of stage performances, the Lope de Vega theater and de Maestranza theater being the most important theaters in Seville. Therefore there are a large number of theaters scharted around the city . We recommend, among many others, La Sala Cero, El Teatro Quintero, El Central, La Fundición, and La Sala Imperdible.

15. Cultural Centers

In the cultural centers you can enjoy all kinds of events, exhibitions, forums, presentations, films, concerts, workshops … The programme is very diverse so we recommend looking for their programmes in their respective websites.

As centers with institutional support, we can also recommend among others, the Caixa Fórum, Las Sirenas Civic Center, the Andalusian Center for Contemporary Art or the Tres Culturas Pavilion.

As self-managed cultural centers, we can recommend El Rincón del Búho, La Corrala, The Open Minded Arts Association or the Espacio Abierto, which offer an interesting alternative cultural programmes.

16. Live Music

Among the many concert venues in Seville and among so many musical events that the city offers, we recommend some of the venues that usually offer music every week. A walk through the streets of the city will give us the chance to see posters with live music announcements in many places in the city. Some of these venues are La Sala Malandar, La Sala Custom, the Fun Club, the Fanatic or La Sala X.

17. The Fair and the Easter (the two most important celebrations in the city)

During Easter Sevillians and thousands of visitors follow with great devotion the parade of religious brotherhoods through the streets of the city. Getting accommodation or getting a table in bars and restaurants becomes an almost impossible goal.

At the Fair, which is usually held in April, the festival is concentrated for a week in a open enclosure full of colorful stalls where friends and families gather cheerfully to have a drink, eat and dance for as long as they can manage.

18. Flamenco

The best flamenco festival takes place in September in the main theaters of the city during the Flamenco Biennial. During the rest of the year there are many `tablaos’ which offer daily shows of generally high quality shows. Some of them are La Flamenquería, La Casa de la Memoria, the Flamenco Dance Museum, La Sala Tronío, La Carbonería or La Anselma. To enjoy a typical Sevillian and improvised flamenco atmosphere you can try your luck at weekends, well into the night, at places like Lola Cacerola or Los Martínez, both in the Triana neighborhood.

19. Football Day

If you are a keen football fan, you should not miss the opportunity to attend a game of one of the two teams in the city: Sevilla F.C and Real Betis. Both teams have two of the most passionate fans in the country and their stadiums are a great show. During the hours before the match, the fans gather together in the bars close to the stadiums.
