Seville to Aracena day trip. Enjoy a visit to the Sierra de Aracena, the Gruta de las Maravillas (Cave of Wonders) and Rio Tinto from departuring from Seville in private transport and accompanied by a local guide.
On this trip we will visit the Sierra de Aracena, which is located in the province of Huelva. We will visit the impressive Gruta de las Maravillas (Cave of Wonders), an atonishing cave in the heart of Aracena with geological formations, such as stalactites and stalagmites.
We will also know the environment where the Iberian Pig is reared and the famous Iberian Ham is produced. After a walk through the natural environment in the Sierra de Aracena and a break for lunch, we will go to Rio Tinto in order to watch a landscape that looks like a different planet and where the famous Minas de Río Tinto are located.
From Seville, we will go to Rio Tinto. This mining area and its famous reddish river constitute what could be described as a martian landscape which has taken its characteristic shape for over two thousand years. We will continue our trip to the Sierra Morena Dehesas Biosphere Reserve.
We will visit this resort dotted with mountain villages, where we will have the opportunity to find interesting details about the life of their ihabitants. A space ihabited by the brave bull and the Iberian pig, both of which have become part of the Andalusian culture.
Our journey will lead us to the town of Aracena, where we will visit its castle and the Gruta de las Maravillas (Caves of Onders), a cave that will not leave you indifferent. Other interesting places to discover are the Peña de Arias Montano, where you can explore the Mediterranean forest and enjoy its surroundings. We will also come across other corners in the mountains, such as the Mezquita Almonaster la Real.
