Our trip will start in Seville. One of our private vehicles will pick you up by from your accommodation or from a nearby meeting point in order to start the journey a few minutes later, at about 9:00 am.
Our first destination will be ‘El Coronil’, an old village where we will stop for a few minutes to take a look at the ‘Castillo de las Aguzaderas’, which sits on what was regarded as a key strategic point during the Middle Ages.
Our next destination will be ‘Zahara de la Sierra’, one of the nicest villages in the ‘Sierra de Cadiz’. The village, which is surrounded by olive trees, happens to be the site of an ancient oil mill. The mill is a good example of the importance olive oil has always had in the Andalusian culture.
From ‘Zahara de las Sierra’ we will continue our journey until we reach Grazalema, another picturesque town in the ‘Sierra de Cadiz’. Grazalema stands out as a spot of unparalleled environmental richness and as one of the areas with the highest rainfall in Spain. In this incredible natural setting, our visitors will have the chance to breathe the healthy fresh air coming from ‘The Green Throat’ and ‘Pinsapos’ forests, which are ideal places for relaxation.
After a short break for lunch, during which customers will be able to familiarise themselves with the Andalusian gastronomy, we will head towards the monumental city of Ronda. As usual, our guide will provide helpful indications for customers wishing to enjoy the local cuisine in one of the bars or restaurants in the area.
The Alameda in Ronda is, no doubt, one of the outstanding places in the whole town. However, what makes Ronda a referential destination in Andalucía is the town’s bullring, a venue of remarkable beauty and undeniable architectural value. A especial bull-fighting festival called ‘Corrida Goyesca’ is held in Ronda every year, and it is customary for most young women to attend the festival dressed up in the early-nineteenth-century costume which was popular at the time of the famous painter Francisco de Goya. The impressive bridge over a steep cliff popularly known as ‘Tajo de Ronda’ is a fantastic setting for a memorable picture.
Visitors will then be taken to the hotel in order to spend the rest of the afternoon strolling across the lovely streets in Ronda and visiting some of the local bars or restaurants so that they can enjoy an appetising meal. The next morning, shortly after breakfast, we will make a visit to one of the wine cellars in the area in order to find out details about the production process of the famous wines from Andalusia. Visitors will also have the opportunity to taste some of the cellar’s finest products.
After visiting the wine cellar, we will return to Ronda for lunch and enjoy a short rest before our journey back to Seville, where we expect to arrive at around 19:00.
