What will we see during our Seville to Tangier 2 days trip?

Join us on a fascinating trip to the African continent to familiarise yourself with a different culture: Morocco. The city of Tangier is separated from the Spanish coast by a 14-km-wide stretch of water, the Strait of Gibraltar. We will set off from Seville by private transport and no stops will be made until we reach our destination (Tarifa). Once in Tarifa, a ferry line will cross the strait in less than an hour.

During our journey aboard the ferry, we will enjoy a splendid view of the Rock of Gibraltar and, if we are lucky enough, will also come across some beautiful marine species, mostly cetaceans. As we arrive in Tangier, a local guide will be waiting, ready to lead us along the mysterious narrow streets of the Medina and the Zoco. Our tour will also include a short visit to some famous historical settings on the outskirts of the town, such as The Hercules Caves. Additional visits to the Sultan’s Palace, an old-fashioned traditional pharmacy and a textile family business are also included in our schedule.

After the tour, you will be driven back to your accommodation 4 * so that you can rest, benefit from the hotel facilities and get a good night’s sleep.

The next morning you will have plenty of leisure to get familiar with other interesting places, explore Tangier’s urban life, do some shopping or even spend a day on the beach under favourable weather conditions.

The return trip will start at 18:00 in the evening and we expect to arrive in Seville by 23:00.

First Day

The tour will be started in Seville. We will drive to Tarifa, a small coastline town in the province of Cadiz and the point furthest to the south in Europe, only 14 kms away from the African Continent.

From Tarifa, a regular ferry service will take us to Tangier across the Strait of Gibraltar on a sixty-minute journey.

Our local guide will be waiting for us in Tangier in order to set out for a short drive across the city’s surrounding areas, stopping at the famous Hercules Caves and the Lighthouse viewpoint. The ideal site to view the confluence of the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea. As camels are one of the predominant landscape features, it is a good chance to take pictures.

However, the most enjoyable part of the journey will take us to the city’s historical centre, where we will be able to catch a glimpse of both the local market (Zoco) and the Medina. Our visit will be concluded with a thirty-minute break during which to enjoy an appetising Moroccan lunch.

Shortly after lunch, we will take a guided walk along the narrow streets and passages of the Medina. The Sultan’s Palace stands out for its architectural beauty, but other more conventional places, such a prosperous textile business or an old, traditional pharmacy are also worth visiting. We will have the opportunity to enjoy an impressive panoramic view of the whole city from one of the oldest houses in the heart of the Medina.

The final stage of our tour will take us back to the hotel. Breakfast the following morning is included.

Second Day

Our second day is intended as a day for relaxation, especially after breakfast, when visitors will have plenty of time to engage in enjoyable activities. As the beach is close to the hotel, spending the rest of the day strolling across the seashore is a tempting alternative. However, doing some shopping or simply wandering aimlessly across the Medida’s historical settings are also interesting options.

At 5:00 pm local Moroccan time (one hour earlier than the Spanish local time) we will collect you from the hotel and drive you to the port, where a ferry will start the return journey to Tarifa at about 6:00 pm. From there, in less than five hours, you will be taken back to your accommodation in Seville, where we will arrive at about 23:00, Spanish time.

Do you join us?

For a magical tour, one should try to make time for a guided day trip to Doñana National Park, from Seville. I know Spain has a lot of competing sights to see, yet the trip to Doñana National Park is a way to connect with nature and the vast quantities of avian and other wildlife present in the park. I took the Naturanda tour; our guide was José. You could tell he really loves his job. He put a lot of effort into making sure we could understand the history of the park, the ecosystem, and all the wildlife, and the connections to the community. As a surprise bonus, José included beautiful photos of the wildlife we saw. It is the best souvenir of my trip to Spain. The flamingos were the highlight of the trip, of course. Yet, 4 varieties of storks and multiple raptors were also stunning. I loved this tour also because it was a small group in a 4-wheel drive van that could cover difficult terrain that the large busses can’t.

The trail has a very interesting history and marvelous sights. But, the trip by Naturanda is a logistical mess. Naturanda gives you little information in advance to plan the day. The email advises travelers to be at the pickup location (we were the last stop, which is the Naturanda tour office and scheduled for 9:59), 20 minutes early. The guide finally showed up at 10:22. Then, he led us to the bus, which we boarded at 10:29. As soon as we boarded the bus, the guide told us: we’ll stop for breakfast, have time to buy sandwiches before the walk, and have time to eat along the way. (A collective groan went up from the group. Conversations reveal that most people planned for a hike and had eaten breakfast and brought sandwiches amd snacks.) A mere hour into the bus journey, we stopped in Osuna. The whole group was back at the bus after 45 minutes (the guide proposed an hour and 15 minute stop), one saying: “this wasn’t a very nice place to stop. Let’s get to the Caminoto.” We drove another 1:15. Then stopped AGAIN for an hour at a place with one restaurant and nothing to do. Before we started the trail, we had wasted 3 hours. At 3:05, they started calling groups for the hike. When the guide suggested using the bathroom, I thought the group would revolt. At 3:20, our Caminoto guides finally showed up and started ANOTHER roll call. We finally started walking toward the Caminito entrance at 3:30 and entered Caminito just after 4:00. The trail is very busy with tour groups, but the views are dramatic. The hike is easy, with the most difficult aspect being some short areas with stairs. Our trail guide was interesting and provided a good amount of information about the history and nature of the area. I would recommend visiting the Caminito Del Rey—but not with this tour.

Great experience with a Real Alcazar and Cathedral tours. Julian, our guide, is great, knowledgeable and fun, so tourism and learning of history meet in a great combination. We also took the Italica experience with Naturanda, Miguel our guide was also great and fun sharing his knowledge to make this a great experience.

WHITE VILLAGE & RONDA TOUR - 05.10.2025 Tour did not start on time, we were advised to come 15 minutes early and tour started 30 minutes late. There were lot of people in the group who had opted for French tour but there was no guide who could speak French. The guide on the tour was not able to speak proper English as well. Wherever we made stop and the time he provided for pick up, it was always 15 minutes late. Tour which was supposed to end at 7:00 PM ended at 8:00 not because of traffic but because of improper management by Tour Guide.
