Our Doñana National Park day trip will start from Seville, where you will be picked up by our local guide in the morning. We will pick you up from your accommodation in Seville or from an easily accessible meeting point.
On the way to Doñana National Park, we will make our first stop at La Dehesa de Abajo, a nature reserve in the town of La Puebla del Río in Seville. It is the perfect setting to watch up to 200 different bird species staying temporarily at the Doñana National Park every year.
We will continue our tour through the most important rice fields in Spain and the most extensive marshlands in Europe until we arrive in La Aldea del Rocío. We will enjoy a walk through this famous village, where one of the most popular religious pilgrimages on the planet takes place. Over 1 million people gather there every year to visit the Hermitage of the Virgen del Rocío, also included in our tour.
On our tour we will take a walk through a gallery forest, another of the ecosystems that can be found in the Doñana National Park. Our guide will be pleased to help you to learn about this ecosystem and to identify some of the endemic species in the area.
After this walk there will be a break for lunch. You will be able to taste some typical dishes of the Andalusian gastronomy in one of the bars or restaurants recommended by our guide or to enjoy your own meal. After the break, we will arrive at another of the Doñana‘s ecosystems which is the beach. With a lenght of over 30 km, it is the longest unspoilt beach in Spain, where we will be able to walk along its peculiar mobile dunes and understand its curious formation process.
After visiting the beach, the tour will go on through the northern area of Doñana, crossing in 4×4 one of the areas where you are likely to watch huge animals. If we are lucky, we will have the chance to see some endangered species, such as the Iberian Lynx.
At the end of this tour we will return to Seville where you will be taken to the same point you were picked up from in the morning, after having enjoyed a great experience in the Doñana National Park.
