Trip to Tangier from Seville two days and one night. Jump with us to the African continent to discover a different culture: Morocco.
The cosmopolitan city of Tangier is located only 14 km away and it is separated from Spain by the Strait of Gibraltar. We will depart from Seville by private transport until we reach to Tarifa. There we will take a ferry to get to Tangier in less than an hour.
During the ferry trip, we will have the opportunity to contemplate the Rock of Gibraltar and if we are lucky, we will see some cetaceans during our journey.
We will arrive in Tangier, where our local guide awaits us. He will guide us through the corners of the Medina or the Zoco and will accompany us to other enclaves in the surroundings of the city, such as the famous Hercules Caves. We will complete our tour with other visits such as the Sultan’s Palace, a textile cooperative or a traditional pharmacy while we walk through the beautiful streets of the city.
After the tour, we will move to the Hotel 4 * to rest and enjoy its facilities.
The next morning you will enjoy leisure to get to know other places, deepen your visit in Tangier, do some shopping or enjoy a day at the beach if the weather permits it.
About 18:00 in the afternoon we will start our way back to Seville where we will arrive at approximately 22:30 at night.
We will start the tour picking you up from your accommodation in Seville in order to arrive in Tarifa, a small city in the province of Cádiz, just 14 km away from the African continent.
From there, we will take a Ferry that in about an hour will leave us in the city of Tangier after crossing the Strait of Gibraltar.
Then, we arrive in Tangier and we will be met by our local guide.
In private transport we will start by knowing the surroundings of the city of Tangier. We will visit the famous Hercules Caves and we will make a brief stop at the lighthouse viewpoint. There we will see how the waters of the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean are separated and very close, we will have the opportunity to take some pictures with the camels, the emblem of Morocco.
After knowing the surroundings of the city, we will move to the historical center to know the Zoco and the Medina. After this, we will make a stop to enjoy a typical Moroccan lunch.
After lunch we will continue walking in the company of our guide through the narrow streets of the Medina. We will make some stops to see the Sultan’s Palace, a textile cooperative and a traditional pharmacy. We will also enjoy beautiful views of the city from the roof of one of the houses in the heart of the Medina.
After the tour, we will move to the Hotel where you can rest and enjoy their facilities. Dinner and breakfast of next morning are included.
After enjoying breakfast, you will have the rest of the day of leisure to continue getting to know Tangier. You will be able to spend the morning in one of its beaches located a few meters from the Hotel or to walk through the historic center and continue discovering the narrow streets of the Medina or do some shopping. If you wish, you can leave your bags at the Hotel to enjoy the day without charges.
At 5:00 p.m. local Moroccan time (one hour less than the Spanish local time) we will pick you up at the hotel to move to the port where, at around 6:00 p.m., we will take the ferry back to Tarifa. There we will pick up our private transport that will take us back to our accommodation in Seville, where we will arrive around 23:00 Spanish time.
Hello, our experience has been very positive. The first morning we made the tour in Tangier with another family and the guide Rachid if I’m not mistaken, and it was quite complete. We arrived in the afternoon at the hotel which was great, both the room and the dinner and the facilities. The next day, as it was so hot, we preferred go to the beach near the hotel instead of touring the center because we practically saw everything during the first day. Afterwards we waited at the hotel pool which was ideal for our children until the return time. Very well organized and very good experience. I give you 5 stars 🙂
